Stagnant Energy

Have you walked into a room and felt a heaviness surround you?

Have you felt pressure or a thickness against you as you walked through a room?

Have you been in a room that felt stuffy, almost suffocating?

Have you been in a room for a while and your mood changed in a negative way?

Have you sat in a room and felt less motivated or drained?

You may be thinking that these are some of the affects that can be experienced when you are exposed to negative energy and that is true except for one thing. Like air, energy can become stagnant. This means that there is a lack of movement or flow of the energy. This is the difference. Negative energy is moving while stagnant energy is not. Please note that stagnant energy can be positive, negative or a combination of both. Discerning whether you are dealing with stagnant energy or negative energy takes practice but it can be done. So what do you do with stagnant energy? You get the energy flowing again.

Ever since I can remember, I have always moved around the furniture. I thought it was the result of major cleaning but maybe the major cleaning was the result of moving the furniture around about once a month. Whether it was my bedroom furniture as a kid or furniture in just about every room of the house as an adult, I didn’t give it much thought. It was something I did. I learned about 4 years ago that it was not just something I did, there was a purpose for it. Always remember that the things we do tell us about ourselves once we figure out the purpose or reason for them and this helps us to understand our ‘self’ better. In this case, I unknowingly moved the furniture when I felt the energy become stagnant to get the energy flowing again. Thinking back though, after moving the furniture I was always in a better mood. I have found that another way to restart stagnant energy is by rearranging objects like photos, knick-knacks or books especially if moving the furniture is not an option for you. You can also add items to the room either new or items already owned from other areas, remove items from the room or add color (or even texture) to the room in some way. Once the energy begins flowing again, you should cleanse the space to remove any negative energy that was a part of the stagnant energy.
