Signs can be used to send you messages. It may be that this is the most used method of delivery. They can appear to you in the physical world, in a dream state and/or in a meditative state. This article explores these forms: instinct, objects/symbols, images, numbers and technology.

Instinct

You know, the gut feeling that speaks to you or tries to. The gut feeling that provides you guidance when noticed and then listened to. Intuition is also instinct, is it not? Your gut instinct can be a “good” feeling that can lead you to something positive or the opposite, “an eerie” feeling or “something doesn’t feel right” feeling to deter you from or warn you about what may be something negative. It is your choice to listen or ignore this guidance. When you ignore or disregard your instinct, you allow your mind to override it thus be in control. Here is something to think about when it comes to the mind… it can be influenced, persuaded and/or manipulated by outside sources as well as yourself.

Objects/Symbols

Objects are often used as signs. The use of material objects can help the meaning to be apparent or recognizable to the person receiving it. Example: A friend went to a store and was drawn to a back section that she would not have normally gone to. There she found a flashing neon “open” sign. This sign was the sign. You see, my friend had recently been thinking about opening a center but was unsure. As soon as she saw the sign her doubts were gone as it confirmed that she should. It also provided her with the message that this endeavor was spiritually supported. When a symbol is the sign sent and you are unsure of the meaning intended, it is a good idea to start at the beginning by researching its original meaning. A reason for this is that the original meaning of a symbol can be used to represent something that it originally would have nothing to do with. There is also the possibility that a misconstrued meaning was accepted and passed down generation to generation or the meaning in not commonly known. You may be surprised by the original meanings you find. I was while selecting symbols for my guidance cards. I use them for monthly guidance in “Vibe” on this site and my own personal guidance.

Images

Images can be found a lot of places. I have seen them in the clouds, trees, tile, wood grain and even on my dog. I’ll explain this in a moment. Images can be of anything… animals, angels, people, things, etc. It important to remember that you can look at the same thing as someone else and see different things. Each sees what is meant for them. Some of these places are self explanatory except maybe the dog. My dog was laying next to me on the bed and when I looked over to pet her something caught my eye… wings. The way she had her hip and leg positioned with the angle and lighting made what appeared to me as an angel. I took a picture but was not able to get the same angle so the image I saw is difficult to see but is outlined. You never know where an image may appear.

Numbers

Numbers as a sign are usually signified by repetition within a short period of time.

Have you noticed a number only to have it appear again and again to you?

Example: While traveling home, I noticed the number 526. For whatever reason it caught my eye. Then I saw it again and then again a short time later. All three instances were within an hour or two and not on the same billboard ad as you sometimes see on the highway. As I wrote down the number so not to forget it, I gave thanks for this sign. Figuring out the message would have to wait until I got home to look it up. This is what I received, the number 526 is a message to have faith and trust in the benevolence of the Universe. The angels, Ascended Masters and Archangels are overseeing current life changes and want you to know that all is going to Divine Plan. Know that these important changes are ensuring that improvements and advancements take place in your life, bringing you in alignment with your Divine life purpose and soul mission. Trust your intuition and the guidance from the angels regarding the next step to take.

Having received the message, I gave thanks for it.

Technology

Have you received a sign via the technology you use?

Have you scrolled through your social media to find a post that’s a sign/message meant for you?

Have you thought about something, had a discussion about something or had something happen and experienced any of the following: a song comes on the radio pertaining to it; you find a post in your social media pertaining to it; you come across an article pertaining to it; you receive a text message or email pertaining to it?

The key to messages as stated in the previous article is conscious awareness. Conscious awareness allows you to notice possible signs. Noticing possible signs allows you to acknowledge those that are signs. When signs are acknowledged, you can express gratitude. This expression of gratitude is for the sign as acknowledgement doesn’t mean message received. It is at this point that you either know the meaning/purpose of the sign thus the message IS received and you express your gratitude for the message also or you don’t know the meaning/purpose of the sign and need to use what resources you have available to you to discern what the sign is meant to convey. (Note: reference resources are guides to possible meanings) Trust in your ability to discern the intended meaning. If you are still unclear, ask for clarity. Remember that until the meaning is known to you, the message has not been received. If the possibility exists to get your attention, that’s the method that will be attempted.
