Good Intentions

It is almost magical when you have good intentions and the result be as you hoped it would be. On the flip side, you can also have good intentions and the result be quite the opposite of what you thought it would be. What has been your experience when it comes to your good intentions? Like me, you have probably experienced both throughout your life.

Have you had good intentions only to find out that it wasn’t really the case?

Have you had good intentions only to find yourself not following through?

Have you had good intentions only to have it backfire and make things worse?

Have you had good intentions only to realize that it was based on the wrong reasons?

Sometimes good intentions deemed as best of intentions are not the best. Sometimes you are too close to a situation to see what is actually going on. Sometimes you are working off of limited or false information. Sometimes you are closed off to the bigger picture. Sometimes your intentions are based in emotion. Sometimes your intentions are based in the mind… head strong. Sometimes your intentions are unwanted and perceived as something else. There are many scenarios that can come into play when good intentions are actually not. Although it feels great when good intentions work out as expected or even better than expected, it’s when intentions go haywire that one can find oneself in a negativity whirlwind. If not careful, one can trap oneself there. It is important that when this happens to feel, deal and heal so that one does not get trapped in the negativity or create a mind trap.
