Your Energy Protection

It is important to take care of and protect your energy on a daily basis. As I have stated many times and stress every opportunity that presents itself, your energy is your responsibility. The following are 10 practices that can help you to do just that.

Letting go.

Release that which you cannot control… that which is not within your control. Maybe you have come across a meme regarding this very thing on social media. You waste valuable energy when your focus is on matters outside of your control. Examples: actions, words and choices of others. Let it go!

No Comparisons

Everyone is on a journey… their own journey. From this perspective no comparison exists because of it. Although some journeys may seem similar, none are the same. Your journey in this lifetime is based on the progress you have made during your previous human experiences. In other words, what you have learned through them and how you are evolving from them. Do not compare yourself to any other.

Faith not Fear

When your faith is bigger and stronger than your fear, you are in control of you. It is well known and proven throughout history that those who instill fear control those who allow that fear to consume them. Do not allow fear to control you. Fear can be paralyzing as it can reach your very core however you have the power to overcome any level of fear felt. It’s within you… it’s your faith!

Gratitude

To have a mindset of gratitude is powerful. It helps you to see what is there rather than what is not. You see what you have and how precious it is no matte how little it may appear to be. You learn to take nothing for granted. You appreciate the smallest, simplest things. You live in the now experiencing every moment of this lifetime. Be grateful for everything.

Oneself

Embrace time with oneself. You can be your own best friend or your own worst enemy. You have a choice. Take this precious time to connect with yourself through reflection and honesty. If you cannot be honest with yourself, who can you be honest with? Use the time to develop inner strength, self-understanding, self-insight, self-confidence and all the other “self’s. Also use it to cleanse, detox, recharge and relax. Enjoy being in your own company. To know oneself is to never be alone.

Avoid Uneasy Spaces

Energy speaks volumes. Avoid energetically uneasy spaces. Whether or not you pick up on it consciously, your gut (instinct) will alert you to it. You may notice the energy feeling uneasy, different, eerie, strong, negative, heavy, thick (almost suffocating), etc. Trust your instinct because being in this energy will have an affect on you, usually a negative one. Notice and heed the alerts you are given.

Kindness

Talk to yourself and others with kindness. Whether it is to yourself or others, the way you talk is received the same energetically and does affect the recipient. Words and tones used can become triggers. Hearing something over and over again can become a conditioned belief and repetitious tones can become conditioned responses. It seems that coddling has become somewhat of a trend. Please note that there is a difference between kindness and coddling. Kindness is out of love and doesn’t diminish the responsibility of the recipient. Coddling is thought to be out of love but is it really? When something is out of love, is it not thought to be beneficial to the recipient? How can something that smothers growth and responsibility be beneficial to the recipient? Speak kindly, don’t coddle.

Energy Vampires

Avoid or limit the time you spend with persons who drain your energy aka energy vampires. Their energy source is you. You will know who they are because after being around them you will feel tired, exhausted, empty, lazy, irritable, annoyed, unfocused, etc. Take notice and take appropriate steps to protect yourself from them. Value and protect your energy.

Triggers

Take notice and recognize your triggers. You cannot deactivate them without knowing what they are. You cannot consciously act to thwart them if you don’t acknowledge them. These triggers can be used against you for the purpose of having control over you. Do you know anyone who knows what buttons to push to get a desired response from you? I am sure you do as this tactic is used by many. The only way to stop them is for you to deactivate your triggers. You have the power and control to do just that. Know what triggers you.

Thoughts

Be conscious of your thoughts. By being conscious of them you can determine if they are actually what you think or what you are being told to think. Also being conscious of your thoughts helps you to receive Divine communications that are sent to you in this form. Another reason to be conscious of your thoughts is so you can control your thought process. It is yours to control. It’s been said that nothing can occur without it first being thought of. I agree. It may not come to fruition at the time of the thought but it carries the potential to at a later date by anyone. Be aware and manage your thoughts.
