Transformation occurs through experience.
Transformation occurs through growth.
Transformation occurs through knowledge.
Transformation occurs throughout life.
Physical transformation occurs as the body changes.
Emotional transformation occurs as life is experienced.
Mental transformation occurs as knowledge is gained.
Spiritual transformation occurs as enlightenment is received.

The spiritual awakening process is similar. Moving through life until the time comes when you realize something is off and you go within for answers, emerging a transformed person. Although unlike the butterfly, the natural instinct of what to do next once it happens may not be as natural.
What can be done when what to do is unclear?
You can seek spiritual help and guidance through prayer and meditation.
You can be aware of signs and symbols giving direction.
You can seek knowledge and guidance from others all ready awakened.
I was told at one point on my spiritual journey that I was a butterfly sitting on a branch just moving my wings. What does this symbolize? Could it be that I believed I was flying when I was actually just spinning the wheels? Could it be that I was afraid to fly so I pretended by flapping my wings? Could it be that I lacked the belief in myself to fly convincing myself that I was not ready to? Or could it be a combination of all of them? This is a reminder that more is needed than just having the ability to do something as there are things that can keep us from doing it.
I was then told that I needed to trust myself, in all that I knew and fly off the branch.
So, I worked on it and flew. Know that this is not a one and done.
This is on going process as you maintain the state needed to fly and to continue flying.
