Power of the Mind

Your thoughts are energy and as such it is important to be consciously aware of how and what you think. Thinking it through doesn’t mean to over analyze or over think things, it only means what it says… that you think things through. You have the ability to control your thoughts. You also possess control over what you think or believe and how you act.

Thinking It Through

The power of thought is a concept that maybe is not overlooked but is not really paid attention to. It seems that it is taken for granted (like other things) and not seen in its full scale of grandeur. Nothing can come into fruition or created in the physical realm without it first being thought of. Now, sometimes thoughts are had before an alignment needed to make them a reality is not completed so it does not occur. This may be disappointing yet the potential for it to occur at a later time exists. Such as the case for Tesla. Other times the idea had is not acted upon by the thought bearer and someone else’s action on it brings it to fruition. Maybe you have had an idea or thought that you fluffed off only to see it materialized by someone else. How many times have you seen something and questioned yourself as to why you didn’t think of it first? Please understand and take solace in knowing that thinking of something first does not guarantee making it a reality. Even though we are independent thinkers and there are millions of ideas floating around out there, what occurs and is created is based on the necessary alignment for it to being completed.

One could deduce that independent thinking was an intention of God by giving man free will… the ability to make choices. So it is through God’s creation that everyone has the ability to be an independent thinker which is also a choice. Each of us is living the human experience yet we are on different levels of ascension, have different purposes / missions and have different lessons to learn. Our independent accomplishments are necessary for evolving and strengthening the connection with self. Could one deduce that independent thinking is necessary for personal growth as well as social growth? It is my belief that the answer to this question is a “Yes!” To be an independent thinker, you need to think for yourself which seems self explanatory. An independent or self thinker is aware of what they believe and the reason for it. An independent or self thinker is also aware of the choices they have meaning they can change what they believe or think when it no longer serves them through increased knowledge or experience. Their awareness includes the personal responsibility of consequences and the learning/unlearning of previous teachings. What does not seem to be so self explanatory is like-mindedness and group think? What is the difference or is there not one?

There is a difference between like-mindedness and group think although it appears that some try to use these terms interchangeably which is incorrect and misleading. Let’s cut to the chase, shall we? Group think is the blind acceptance and following of people, concepts or ideologies without question or self thought. It is controlled thinking by one or more over others using means such as fear mongering, falsehoods, threats, manipulation, bribery, retaliation, cancellation and other tactics. What is gained by this action? Is it not a power gain for the person or persons advocating for the group think? Does positive growth exist in this action for the accepters and followers? As previously stated, God gave each of us free will which allows for independent thinking.

Like-mindedness is having similar ideologies or concepts / beliefs through independent thought and choice. Like-mindedness does not mean everything is accepted or believed. What resonates with some may not with others. Examples of this can be seen in all aspects of life. Take spirituality, not all concepts are believed by everyone while some are. I have like-minded friends that I do not believe all of what they do as they do not believe all that I do. However, when we are together, we share, discuss and listen to one another. This applies to religion as each denomination has its own interpretation and methodology. Some of which may be similarly shared and some not shared at all. Other examples include: politics, education, parenting, society and the list goes on.

When talking about like-mindedness, there is an extremely important guideline to follow. This guideline is NOT to create communes or segregate yourselves from others based on it. Whether it is human nature or human conditioning (thinking it is more the latter) that we tend to gravitate towards this, it is important not to do it. Growth on any level is not gained within the confines of such actions.

Be mindful of your thoughts, think for yourself and think it through.

A Strong Mind

A strong foundation is the building block for a strong mind. To prevent an imbalance, it is necessary for the mind to be balanced by the heart. Will power is the combination of mind and heart. Its strength is determined by their strength and is a powerful tool for facing situations of negativity such as obstacles, disappointments, setbacks and the like. Whenever the need arises for the mind to be dominant, as in the phrase “mind over matter”, it is important to remember to restore the balance. Creating a strong mind is a sign of personal growth as you gain confidence, strength, protection and much more as a result. It is always important to remember this… a strong mind is not a closed mind.
